Brief synopsis of your book: A young woman is on the verge of vampire supremacy with the next full moon when she wakes up with no memory in an asylum. Only her true love, a mere human can save her from the brutal Count Lucien and his vampire cult from stealing her eternal blood.

Current book or project you’re working on:

What was the inspiration for your novel? I suffer from PTSD and so does my female vampire and so will the reader as it is in deep POV.

Please share three interesting facts about your book which are not covered in the synopsis.
1) Lucien is also a French red wine we like to drink.
2) Edouard is a champagne.
3) Rose is also a type of wine if you add an accent on the e.

Who is the most complex character from your current novel? Edouard has the most to gain and lose of all characters. He has to accept the impossibility of vampires, shrug off his humanity and love someone for eternity. If he survives.

Are there any characters in your book that remind you of yourself? There’s a dose of me in Edouard, but I’d rather invent and go over the top with traits, much easier that way.

If you could pick any well known or famous author to review your book who would you pick and why? Funny you should mention that - I just finished a review of Graham Masterton’s Broken Angels. I would be a happy bunny if he offered to review my Luna Series.

What, who, and when were you first inspired you to write? Stephen King and Graham Masterton will always be my inspiration. About 10 years ago, when I was 10 years younger a script of mine was read by Ian McShane who loved it and accepted the lead role. Shame nothing came of it, but it told me my writing had something.

Genre/Author/Reader:

What genre does your book fall into? Gothic Vampire Thriller

What is the first book you remember reading that affected how you thought or felt about something? Catch-22 will always be with me. A ground-breaking book about the immorality of war.

Which three authors have inspired you the most, and why?
1) Stephen King
2) Graham Masterton
3) Dean Koontz

Have you ever read a book you couldn’t finish reading? No.

Do you read a book, while you are writing a book? All the time. I love reviewing other authors.

The process:

How many books have you written? Which book is your favourite and why? 8 books so far, but only 3 published. My Luna Series books are my fave, because they were such fun to write, edit and I published them myself.

Is there anything that helps get you in the mood to write? Vivid dreams telling me what to do to improve a scene get my creative juices flowing.

What were three challenges you faced when writing your book?
1) Finding the time to write.
2) Having to go without to pay for writing costs.
3) Learning how to market the book.

What lessons have you learned as an aspiring writer? Keep reading while writing - never give up - ignore bad reviews - cut back on social media when necessary.

Do you ever experience writer’s block? If so what helps you to ‘overcome’? I often hit the WB phenomenon. I down the PC and relax, read and review and walk the beach to clear my head.

What is the most important thing you’ve learned, either in the self-publishing or traditional publisher, route? I’ll never go back to traditional route as the publisher takes virtually everything. I now prefer control over my own product. If it fails, I can only blame me.

How long does it usually take for you to complete a book? I have never timed a book, Martha. It takes as long as it takes to finish. My Luna Series started in 2008 and I have just finished both books.

Do you have any ideas for your book and Hollywood? Actors, directors, music. - I must admit as a screenwriter I haven’t given it a thought. I have no idea except the music would be classic Goth.

Which book to movie conversion is your favourite? One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. An obvious choice, heheheehh!
